New Social Security Office – Owensboro, KY

Social Secuity Office, Owensboro, KY - Red Range Velour by Brickcraft

This spring, Owensboro (KY) saw the construction of a new building that houses the Social Security Administration offices.

The architecture was done by David R. Snapp & Associates of Lexington (KY).

The General Contractor was W.A. Contracting of Lexington (KY), who employed Boarman Brothers Masonry of Owensboro, to do the brick work.
The brick used was Red Range Velour, by Brickcraft, located in Clay City, IN and supplied by Lee Brick and Block’s Owensboro location.

The new offices are located just off the Hwy 60 Bypass, on the south side of Owensboro and offer their services to the residents of Daviess County.

Clinical Education Complex at Western Kentucky University

Clinical Education Complex at WKU

On August 25th a dream became reality when Western Kentucky University’s Clinical Education Complex had it’s dedication ceremony.

The dream was to have a one-of-a-kind complex, housing multiple services, that were formerly spread across Bowling Green (KY).

Those services included :

  • Early Childhood Center
  • WKU Speech Clinic
  • Kelly Autism Program
  • Family Counseling Center
  • Traumatic Brain Injury Center
  • Family Resource Program

Barry Blann, of BA+ Architecture, in Bowling Green, served as architect of record for the project. He chose two tones of integrally-colored splitface concrete block for the veneer of the building.

Those blocks, Eggshell and Blush, were produced by the Bowling Green location of Lee Brick and Block.

Knight Masonry of Lewisburg (KY) was the Masonry Contractor employed by Scott, Murphy & Daniel, also of Bowling Green, who served as General Contractor for this project.

The residents of Owensboro (KY) have another choice for their health care needs. Hayden Construction Co., of Owensboro, recently completed the construction of MedShop Pharmacy and Wellness Center.

Hayden employed Boarman Brothers Masonry for the brick installation and the Acme Brick Mossy Rock ( Western King size) was supplied by Lee Brick and Block’s Owensboro location.

New Library Being Constructed In Daviess County, KY

New Daviess County Library, Owensboro, KY

The city of Owensboro, Kentucky is the site of the new Daviess County Library, which recently began construction.

The General Contractor, Hartz Construction and the Masonry Contractor, L.A. Buford Masonry, both of Owensboro are well into their respective duties.

The Architects, Tuck Hinton Architects, of Nashville, TN, along with the Library Board, selected 3 brick from Acme Brick Co. for the exterior of the new facility.

The brick are being supplied by Lee Brick and Block’s Owensboro location.

Dove Gray, in wirecut and vertical scratch, along with Marble Gray, as an accent, were used to give this facility the beautiful exterior is deserves.

New AAA Building In Owensboro (KY)

New AAA Building - Owensboro, KY

AAA of Owensboro (KY) recently moved into their new office building. It was constructed by Rusher Construction and the Masonry Contractor was L.A. Buford Masonry, both of Owensboro, KY.

The Architect, George Collignon, of Collignon & Nunley Architects, also of Owensboro, selected Hanson’s Arlington as the face brick. It was supplied by the Owensboro location of Lee Brick and Block.
