Yorktown By Columbus Brick Used In Cadiz (KY)

Back in the winter of 2005 an addition to the Cadiz First Christian Church was completed.

The design team at Perry Office of Architecture and Design, of Paducah (KY), needed to find a suitable match for the existing brick.

The Hopkinsville location of Lee Brick and Block supplied Yorktown by Columbus Brick for the exterior veneer and won the approval of the design team and the church members, as did the fine masonry work by Whit-Cor Masonry of Murray (KY).

Strategic Marketing’s New Louisville Location

Strategic Marketing recently moved into their new Louisville (KY) location. The building project was designed by Bayus Design Works, a local architectural firm.

The general contractor on this project, Holloway-Arnold Construction, also of Louisville, employed Mark Hendren and his Lay-Em All Masons team.

Hanson Brick's Cranbrook

The face brick you see in the photo above is Cranbrook from Hanson Brick and was supplied, along with all the other masonry materials, by the Louisville location of Lee Brick and Block.

There were over 40,000 Cranbrook face brick used on this project and over 3000 SF of concrete masonry units.

The concrete masonry units in the photos above are 4″ X 8″ X 16″ Normal Weight Light Range Buff for the stretcher units and 4″ X 4″ X 16″ units for the sills, also Light Range Buff units.

The mortar is Brixment’s B-133.

Belden Brick Used On Bowling Green (KY) Jr. High

Bowling Green (KY) recently built a new Jr. High School and the project architect, Ross-Tarrant Architects of Lexington (KY), selected 2 different brick from Belden Brick as part of their exterior veneer.

Belden’s Sea Gray Velour and 671 Velour were chosen as the field and accent brick, along with a Chocolate splitface concrete block.

The masonry contractor, Whit-Cor Masonry of Murray (KY), enhanced the project with the great corner details like the ones you see in the photo below. The general contractor, Alliance Corporation of Glasgow (KY) made sure the project was completed on-time and that this school was ready to serve the students of this Warren County town.

The accent brick were inset and outset from the field brick and the Trenwyth groundface block with the 8″X8″ look were used to transition from the field brick into the large panel of accent brick.

This close-up shows the inset Belden 671 Velour accent brick in a soldier course, the Belden Sea Gray Velour field brick and the Chocolate splitface concrete blocks that were used on this project.
