The Bowling Green (KY) Branch of Edmonton State Bank recently opened and the local Lee Brick and Block location was chosen to supply the masonry materials.Habersham, a brick manufactured by Pine Hall Brick, was selected for the veneer and was complimented by the addition of Rockford Estate Blend, a natural limestone quarried by Indiana Limestone Company. The local Lee Brick and Block office supplied the masonry materials, including these Lawrenceville Brick Abingdon’s, which were laid using Brixment M-10 mortar.

Keystone Cinemas Bardstown KY

The Keystone Cinemas in Bardstown recently opened and are a great example of the versatility of splitfaced concrete masonry units.

Buzick Construction, also of Bardstown, used these architectural masonry units, manufactured by Lee Brick and Block’s Bardstown location, to construct a beautiful, low maintenance facility that will stand the test of time.

The units were stained to achieve the desired colors and were manufactured with an integral water repellent.

Vertically scored split-faced units, as well as traditional split-faced units were used to create this functional and eye-pleasing design.

Columbus Charleston On Award Winning Home In Louisville

The home in the photo above, constructed by Lancaster Built Homes, was awarded the prestigious ” Best Home Design Masonry - Best Use of Masonry Materials on Exterior “ at HOMEARAMA 2007.

That award was sponsored by Kentuckiana Masonry Institute, also headquartered in Louisville (KY).

It was the 40th rendition of HOMEARAMA in the Metro Louisville area.

The masonry materials used for this project were supplied by Lee Brick and Block’s Louisville location. Those materials included the Columbus Charleston face brick ( seen below ), Brixment E-220 mortar and Mountain Stone’s Southern Ledgestone Sulphur Springs.

There were also several 42″ Rockface Carmel Mountain Stone sills separating the stone wainscot and the brick, seen in the photo below, along with Carmel trim pieces and Keystones, also from Mountain Stone used to accent the arch over the front door. Pine Hall Cocoa 2 1/4″ pavers were used on the front porch.

The Mountain Stone was installed by Michael Gray of Stone Creations.

Carolina Ceramics Valencia On Award Winning Home In Louisville

The home pictured above was built by Carl Baker, Sterling Development Group, of Louisville (KY) for Homearama 2007, which was held July 14-29, 2007 at Beech Spring Farm, a Canfield Development.

This was the 40th Homearama produced by the Home Builders Association of Louisville.

Sponsored by LG&E and Insight, Homearama 2007 showcased 10 homes built by builder members of the HBAL, each beautifully decorated and landscaped.

Beech Spring Farm’s beautiful, natural setting, it’s convenient location and great weather conditions, brought over 38,000 visitors to this years event.

This gorgeous home won the masonry award sponsored by the Kentuckiana Masonry Institute for “Quality & Appropriate Use of Masonry”. The mason contractor was Professional Masonry.

The driveway of this award winner also displayed Paverlock’s new ColdStream pavers with a Fleur de Lis, the symbol adopted by Louisville Metro, designed into the work, seen below.
