If you’ve ever come to the junction of Route 31 and Highway 245 in Bardstown (KY), you’ve seen this great looking strip center that includes the China Star Buffet and Grill.
Built by Robert Mattingly and Sons, Inc., of Louisville, this project used a Boren Red Wirecut brick as the exterior veneer and included Brixment’s B-500 (Buff) mortar and 4″ Lightweight Splitface CMU’s in our own Oakcolor.
All of the masonry materials were supplied by the Bardstown location of Lee Brick and Block.
This closeup shows just how good the brick, mortar and splitface units work together. Click on either of the photos to enlarge them to full-screen size.
