Norton Commons

In Louisville, two names synonymous with fine living are Legacy Homes and Norton Commons.

Last summer, Legacy built the beautiful home you see above and the Louisville location of Lee Brick and Block was selected as the supplier of veneer brick.

For this application, in the Traditional Neighborhood Development, Hanson Brick’s Cranbrook was used along with B-500 mortar from Brixment.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Legacy Homes’ involvement in the Louisville (KY) housing market. Legacy was founded in 1987 by Mark Isaacs, who had returned to Louisville after receiving his Masters in Architecture from M.I.T. in Boston.

Legacy Homes offers design and construction services in one package for “Single Source Responsibility“.

This offers the following advantages:

Legacy’s architects and construction personnel work together to design and build creative, unique and functional floor plans. Beginning with the design phase and continuing through completion of the construction, the team of architects and builders collaborate to achieve an outstandingly beautiful finished home.

Award-winning Architect Mark Isaacs, AIA, is assisted by four architectural designers to tailor your home or commercial development to your particular needs.

As for Norton Commons, it’s Louisville’s first Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND). To preserve the architectural standards planned for the community, the Norton Commons Builders Guild is comprised of some of the best builders in the Louisville area - Legacy Homes is proud to have been chosen as one of these builders.

At Norton Commons, Legacy Homes has homes to offer in different sizes and price ranges. They build single family homes, condominiums, live-work units, apartments and commercial/retail spaces. Home designs cater to comfort, quality, spacious living and energy efficiency. All homes are built to meet Energy Star requirements including high performance windows, controlled air infiltrations, tight duct systems and building envelope upgrades.

Amenities, often considered upgrades, are included in many of our Norton Commons homes. These amenities may include hardwood floors, ceramic tile showers, stainless kitchen appliances, fireplaces and porches/patios.
